MULTIPLE
INTELLIGENCE
This
week has started with the reading materials on the concept of multiple
intelligence and learning style. I have actually been familiar with multiple
intelligence myself, but reading the material on the course web has broadened
my understanding further on the area. It is a scientific fact that intelligence
exists in several forms and proportions in every one of us. According to
studies made by Howard Gardener approves that individuals who have an injury
with the part of the brain that controls for a specific intelligence
trait still are capable enough to manifest another intelligence trait
they manipulate very well. It is also true that the proportions that each of
the intelligence traits exist vary greatly. People are endowed with more trait
of one form than the others. Hence, up on exploitation of such intelligence
simply means the realization of making a difference in this world.
Several noted individuals can be mentioned to this respect. For instance,
Albert Einestine, Mozart, Picaso Usian Bolt....etc. A school is an area where
students gather and discover a skill they are best at. It is for such reason
usually new skillful individuals emerge from, new discoveries made and new
ideas blossom. Therefore, the teacher’s job inside the school should be to
identify the different intelligences in his students and encourage the student
to take every step at promoting the skill s/he is intelligent for.

Another
important accomplishment of this week is the posting of our final draft on the
project we have been working on since the beginning of the course. This
actually must have created the feeling that we are almost done with the course.
It actually has created a mixed feeling within myself. I am happy that the
course has been quite an inspirational and has made me to actually manage
implementing some technology to promote learning in my class, and I have posted
my overall work on that in the form of a final project report following the
rubric for that purpose on our course website. Equally to that, I also felt sad
that such very inspiring course is terminating in about a week of time.
As
a conclusion, although we had not very much to do this week, but the habit the
course has instilled in me kept me busy over the web searching materials and
sites useful to my teaching process. Surely one can tell from such habit I have
possessed how much I have already benefited from the course.
